Removal of redirect
editI know City and Central were different stations. However, when I changed this to a redirect, I moved the content (minus the POV remark about its architecture) in order to give a coherent account of all the stations (Wellington, New, Central, City, etc.) in one place. I also moved the content from "Railway stations in Leeds" [1], which also had information about Central, which partially contradicted this page.
Because pretty much all the content of this page can be found at Leeds City railway station, it would be better to concentrate everything in that article, which gives the wider picture, and put the redirect back. --RFBailey 19:50, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- My rationale for restoring the article was that every other closed station has its own page, e.g. Curzon Street or Broad Street. Having Central redirect to City without it mentioning Central until a third of the way down the page is, in my opinion, confusing. I'm not sure I want to go as far as suggesting resurrecting Railway stations in Leeds, but I don't see how it contradicts it either. I don't believe having an article (even a stub) detracts from having the complete history at Leeds City railway station, as long as they're consistent. But I'm open to suggestions. editTrainspotters' jargon. Needs to be clear to be encyclopedic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.103.145 (talk) 18:40, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
