Maintenance

edit

Working on article: I'm currently working with a word processor and notepad, gathering sources and revising the article. I ask, therefore, that you give me two days from now (to noon, June 16) to let me finish doing this and implementing the changes before making major edits. Thank you in advance, and sorry for any inconvenience caused - I realize this is an unorthodox request, but editing traffic seems to be very low. --Safe-Keeper 23:15, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Finished. --Safe-Keeper 03:18, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merge with Hurricane Maria (2005)?

edit

That was clearly the cause for the slide. Also Nate was not a trigger since according to the NHC, the low that was Nate was near the Azores late on September 12 when it was absorbed by another non-tropical low (while Maria was near Iceland). It can be pretty hard to find all this information on the mid-season storms (after all the media was so focused on Katrina and rightfully so). CrazyC83 23:51, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's not a bad idea, considering that this is apparently how it's done with most hurricane/storm articles, right (detailing first the storm/hurricane and then the impact)? Would all of the article's content be retained in this case, or would some have to be cut? --Safe-Keeper 06:40, 16 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
After some consideration on how to move the article, I think it may be a better idea to keep it as it is. There is content, such as the other damage from precipitation in Norway in 2005, that can very well be used in this article as it is, but which would probably need to be removed if the article is to be merged into Hurricane Maria. Or am I wrong? --Safe-Keeper 20:35, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
A blurb from this article could be added into the Maria article, with a link back to this page. You're right...the extraneous information including background info would be eliminated in a merge. Thegreatdr 19:09, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I think the most relevant sections are The Hatlestad Slide and Fatalities and evacuation. The information of these two sections, in my view, have to be added to the Hurricane Maria article. In addition, I think Compensation of victims and municipalities should be in, as it is a fair damage assessment. Any others? --Safe-Keeper 23:46, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Psychiatric treatment sub-section?

edit

Should a sub-section be added (directly after 'compensation of...') about psychiatric treatment offered to victims and the research project by Dyregrov, as described in Ingvild Telle's blog? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Safe-Keeper (talkcontribs)

Neutrality

edit

Any comments on neutrality (see ToDo list)? I feel like taking the tag down as there have been no complaints. --Safe-Keeper 00:56, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removed tag. --Safe-Keeper 20:37, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
