Bio language acceptable?

edit

Is this language near the end of the bio truly “encyclopedic”? Here: “His uncontestable mastery of his material immediately won the confidence and respect of the students... Moreover, his affable manner, dry humour and unfailing courtesy made him popular.” That sounds more like encomium than information. The citation at the end of that paragraph seems to date to a much later era, so it can’t be a summary of that source, can it? Josh a brewer (talk) 02:22, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
