Watch Bumblebee catfish
editSomewhat cryptic edit description on [1] but I think it implies Bumblebee catfish is going to be moved to Bumblebee catfish (disambiguation); if/when that happens, switch the link. -- Limulus (talk) 15:31, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- This was fixed a while ago, but it appears there have been other issues with WP:INTDABLINK (intentional disambiguation links), so I thought I'd put a more thorough explanation here. Follow that link for the complete guideline, but the pertinent part is as follows:
- Links to disambiguation pages from mainspace are typically errors. In order to find and fix those errors, disambiguators generate a wide array of reports of links needing to be checked and fixed. Because these reports can not distinguish instances where an editor has made such a link with the intent to point to the disambiguation page, the community has adopted the procedure of rerouting all intentional disambiguation links in mainspace through "Foo (disambiguation)" redirects. This makes it clear that such links are intended to point to the disambiguation page.
- For example:
- On a disambiguation page, an intentional link to another disambiguation page that does not contain "(disambiguation)" in the title:
- Incorrect: Springfield
- Incorrect: Springfield
- Correct: Springfield (disambiguation)
- On a disambiguation page, an intentional link to another disambiguation page that does not contain "(disambiguation)" in the title:

editBefore adding an entry, please familiarise yourself with WP:MOSDAB, in particular check it is valid per WP:PTM or WP:DABMENTION. E.g. things that look like bumblebees don't count, they have to be known solely as "bumblebee" (or "Bumble bee"). Widefox; talk 21:32, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
