2D
editCan we mention that 3D films don't exist and will never exist, as films are always 2D, as they are on screen, and perhaps explain about the illusion, how is more of a 2D parallax effect, like we had on retro videogames? Thank you TudorTulok (talk) 11:32, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
Singin in the Rain 3D?
editThe following quote appears without reference:
"In June 2005, the Mann's Chinese 6 theatre in Hollywood became the first commercial film theatre to be equipped with the Digital 3D format. Both Singin' in the Rain and The Polar Express were tested in the Digital 3D format over the course of several months."
I've looked and looked but can't find sources saying Singin in the Rain was ever converted to 3D and screened that way. Maybe the Wikipedia contributor who added this part first can be contacted to elaborate? Jonathan Sabin (talk) 05:06, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
VR glases
editIn the paragraph "Displaying 3D films", there is no mentioning of VR-glases such as the Meta Quest 3 and the like. It would be nice if this could be added. Skopien (talk) 10:06, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
