Musical style
editOn Millennium, Monstrosity showcases a more technical approach to death metal than on their previous release, Imperial Doom. The guitar work in particular is markedly more advanced than on their debut, utilizing jarring dynamic changes such as quick jumps from tremolo picking to rapid power chord changes. The album is considered by many to be a landmark in technical death metal. [citation needed]
