editPathik Pravasan is Adhikari's first novel written in his native Nepali language, published in 2010.[2] It is considered a defining work of the Maoist's war period 'Nepalese young generation' that was inspired by rebellion, frustration and 'Go Abroad' experiences. The main character of the novel, Pathik, travels to Europe to study, and finds a new world totally different from the landlocked Himalayan nation in which he grew up.[3]

Pravasi Ko Des Hunna (No Land For An Immigrant) is Adhikari's another fiction work published in 2024.[6][7]It delivers 14 stories woven by the memories of adventures and nostalgia of youth in homeland, and a thought-provoking exploration of loss, and self-determination abroad.[8] His work frequently addresses themes of identity and belonging from sophisticated creatures of multiculturalism and cosmopolitanism.[9]
His stories are written in a comprehensible style, combining narrative elements with real life experiences.[10] A thought-provoking blend of diasporic fiction and philosophical exploration, pushing the boundaries of reality and consciousness.[11][12][13]
He has been writing many articles in popular Nepalese media regularly, mostly about Nepalese people living abroad and promoting as well as advocating Nepalese literature abroad.[14][15]
