Lee Faine Doss Jr. (born April 19, 1991) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football for Stillman and Southern University. Doss was signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins. He also played for the Cleveland Browns.

Early life

Doss attended St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was a letterman in football and baseball. As a senior, he was named first-team All-District 10-5A in both football and baseball.[1] While attending St. Augustine High School, he played with future NFL players including his younger brother Lorenzo Doss, Tyrann Mathieu, and Trai Turner.

College career

As a freshman at Stillman College in 2009, Doss played in all 11 games. Against Lane College, he caught four passes for 75 yards and three touchdowns in the 42-20 victory.[2]

In 2010, Doss transferred to Southern University and redshirted.

On September 15, 2011, Doss scored on a 10 yard Touchdown reception against University of Arkansas Pine Bluff.[3] On November 26, 2011, against rival Grambling State in the Bayou Classic game he scored on 13 yard TD reception, he finished the game with 5 catches for 56 yards and 1 Touchdown.[4][5]

In 2012 Doss led the Jaguars in receptions (65), yards (703) and TDs (8) in 2012, earning first team All-SWAC honors.[6][7]

Prior to the season, Doss was named to CFPA 2013 Watch List.[8] By the end of the 2013 regular season, Doss caught 78 passes to top the SWAC with 1,172 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. For the season, he averaged 15 yards per reception and helped carry Southern to a 9-4 record, 7-2 in the SWAC, and its first SWAC championship since 2003.[9] On September 14, Doss accounted for 214 receiving yards in the 62-59 win against Prairie View. On September 21, in the game against Mississippi Valley State, Doss hauled in 10 catches for 164 yards and one touchdown in the Jaguars' 17-7 win, he accounted for more than half of SU's total offense while earning players of the week honors.[10] On November 30, Doss posted his second game of the season with 3 touchdown receptions to help guide Southern to a 40-17 win over in-state rival, Grambling State, in the 40th instalment of the Bayou Classic. He finished with six receptions for 117 yards and 3 Touchdowns, earning player of the week honors again.[11] He earned first-team All-SWAC honors for the second year in a row while claiming second-team All-America status from The Sports Network and second-team All-Louisiana team.[12][13][14]

Professional career

He signed to the Cleveland Browns practice squad on September 23, 2014.[15] He was released on October 14, 2014.[16]
