Gameplay

edit

The main objective is to compete in tournaments across various circuits and defeat Cyber Tiger and other golfers to win the championship in the Career mode. This is the first game to feature Tiger Woods as a character outside of the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series.

Players begin as either Tiger Woods or a custom-created character on the Spyglass Hill course, which is prominently featured in the game. After winning in Career mode, players can unlock additional championship courses. In Career mode, players start as young golfers and progress into adulthood. Initially, they compete in the Junior Tour, participating in a one-round tournament. Afterward, players face three more tournaments, and winning any one of them advances them to the Amateur Tour. Here, players must win one of two events to qualify for the Pro Tour, where cash prizes are awarded for victories.

CyberTiger includes Power-Up Balls, which can provide players with advantages or help them recover in difficult situations. These include "superballs" that bounce on any surface and eyeballs that fly straight. Other features include SuperDrive, hidden tricks, unlockable golfers, and various power-ups. The game also introduces Tiger Control, allowing players to apply topspin or backspin to the ball while it is in flight, along with real-time analog swing and ball control, and the ability to fade or draw shots. CyberTiger supports vibration feedback devices and analog control. Additionally, two memory blocks are required for saving, and a Multi Tap-compatible adapter is needed for multiplayer gameplay with up to four players.
