Northfleet is home to numerous independent small businesses. The American-themed Hot Rod Diner on the High Street has become a notable attraction since taking over the site from the G&M Used Car Sales business in 2018. Another well-received eatery is the authentic Polish restaraunt the White Eagle, and both it and Dominos Pizza are located in the Hill area of Northfleet. The Hill is something of a village feel, with a Pharmacy, Antiques shop, convienance store several lively pubs, including the Rose Pub, The Leather Bottle, and Ye Old Coach and Horses, and various working Men's and Social clubs in the area. Additionally, a variety of cafes such as Costa Coffee, Cafe of Northfleet, and Golden Grill are cherished by the local community.
