The Earth can't sustain us anymore. Over fifty six years ago The Artifact was discovered, an artificial planetoid that is now the only hope for our refugees. This enormous planet shouldn't be able to sustain life but it seems that someone built it to accommodate human life.

Hanging between two stars, measuring one hundred and seventy thousand Kilometers long and sixty two thousand wide, this monster world seems almost perfect for our needs. Unfortunately the current inhabitants are not ready to welcome us.

These inhabitants are not strange aliens that we can't understand. They're human, down to their DNA. The animals, appear to be prehistoric, but pulled from different epochs and thrown together. The ancient megastructure is crumbling from neglect as nations war for control. Small mechs called E-Suits act as the cavalry in these wars. Civilizations thousands of years old have progressed little in all this time.

Become a part of the story. Can you forge a path for Earth to reach the stars or will do something even more important? Humanity's only hope is about to become it's greatest challenge!

The Artifact RPG has tools for players to tell stories that are traditionally difficult to tell in a game. Survival Challenges give the players the ability to pit their characters against harsh environments. Tech Challenges bring the character's brains into the game, giving science it's proper place in this high tech world. Some rules seem simple at first, like Extra Effort, but can dramatically introduce the hero that uses every gram of energy they have to reach their goal. Will they collapse after reaching it or before?
