NO ONE CALLS ME STUPID! And no one is ever gonna call me stupid AGAIN!

–Steelbeak, Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice!

Steelbeak is an agent of the internSteelbeakational criminal organization, F.O.W.L. He was voiced by Jason Mantzoukas. He first appeared in the DuckTales 2017 episode "Moonvasion!"

Description[]

Steelbeak is a yellow rooster with a metal beak, light-yellow sclerae, and a green-feathered tail. He wears a white suit, dark red undershirt, a black bowtie, shoes, and pants.

Personality[]

He is mostly dim-witted and arrogant, even when Black Heron explains the Intelli-Ray to him clearly, yet ruthless and precise. He has occasional smart insights, such as seeing that a cake with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry together is a cover-up.

When he blasted himself with the Intelli-Ray, he became smarter and stronger, able to beat Gizmoduck and Darkwing Duck on his own, and improved the Intelli-Ray so quickly to turn Flintheart Glomgold, Ma Beagle, the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell into mindless slaves.

Trivia[]

  • Steelbeak originally appeared in the 1990s Disney Afternoon cartoon Darkwing Duck as one of Darkwing's villains, voiced by Rob Paulsen. Like in the reboot, Steelbeak was a member of F.O.W.L. in Darkwing Duck, although he was significantly more intelligent and dangerous in his original incarnation, being one of F.O.W.L.'s chief agents.
  • Black Heron busted Steelbeak out of a jail in St. Canard and gave him his metal beak. Frank Angones confirmed this on his Tumblr blog and added that he was arrested for cockfighting. He also confirmed on his blog that Steelbeak is young and has just recently joined F.O.W.L and will become more capable and dangerous in the future, similar to his original incarnation from Darkwing Duck. This was later confirmed true in "The Last Adventure!" when Steelbeak blasted himself with the Intelli-Ray.
  • Steelbeak was originally inspired by the James Bond villain Jaws, who had steel teeth he could use to chew through anything.
