An alternative construction of the projected basis, and the representation of generators and labeling operators have been proposed by B. A. Knyr, Yu. F. Smirnov, and V. N. Tolstoy in Group-Theoretical Methods in Physics, Proceedings of the International Seminar Zvenigorod 1979 (Nauka, Moscow, 1980), Vol. 1, p. 34 (in Russian).
