Synopsis for "Chapter Three"

While Brainiac begins to vivisect Aquaman, the Martian Manhunter manages to find and infiltrate Luthor's undersea city. The city, however, has been emptied and converted into a trap; moments after entering, the martian is telepathically assaulted by Gorilla Grodd, and forced to hallucinate being burnt alive.

Meanwhile, having studied the files stolen from the Batcomputer, Luthor's legion frees the Riddler from Arkham Asylum (angering the Joker, who had deliberately been excluded). With the entire JLA's secrets and weaknesses now in hand, the legion stages a simultaneous attack on nearly every member of the League.

As the attacks begin, the few legion members not directly involved - Luthor, Riddler, Ivy, and Manta - broadcast their message of building a better, JLA-free future worldwide.
