Justice League Europe #22 is an issue of the series Justice League Europe (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 1991.

Synopsis for "Catnap"

At the London Justice League Embassy, Kara agonizes over the disappearance of the cat, while Catherine Cobert is unconcerned until a local boy delivers a ransom note: the cat has been abducted by Robin and Johnny, a pair of thieves who hope to ransom it back to the Justice League Europe but find it hard to handle.

Catherine and Captain Atom agree to keep the ransom note from Kara, only for her to discover the cat's kidnapping from the media, which draws heavy attention to the case, to the abductors' concern. Meanwhile, Mister Bigger tours his Metawise Accounting Firm, a service gathering information on superheroes to sell to villains, making plans to seize the cat from the kidnappers.

Sue Dibny attempts to recruit Batman to help with the kidnapping, but he hangs up on her upon learning that the victim is a cat. The thieves deliver their ransom demands, to the growing exasperation of Captain Atom and anger of Kara, but struggle to contain the cat and eventually are driven to give it up, arranging to deliver it to a local paper, coincidentally owned by the Crimson Fox. The JLE plan an ambush at the drop, but that cat is instead taken from the thieves by Mister Bigger's men, who implant it with a camera with which they hope to learn—and sell—the secrets of the JLE.

Through the thieves, they return the cat to Kara, but find that the footage captured through the cat's eyes—with subjects such as the embassy toilets—is less than useful.
