Gideon was an artificial intelligence onboard the Waverider turned human by Astra Logue, and a member of the Legends.
History
Gideon has helped Rip Hunter and the Legends on various missions through time since the team was created.
After the kidnapping of Sara Lance by the mad scientist Bishop and the invasion of the Zagurons, Gideon and the Legends became trapped in the past after Bishop destroyed the Waverider. Gideon was destroyed, but was later accidentally revived in a human body by Astra Logue using magic. She became a member of the Legends and dated Gary Green. Eventually, the Legends began to be pursued by the evil version of Gideon and her Robot Legends. After the robot's defeat, Gideon and the others are tricked by the Booster Gold and are arrested by the Time Police.[3][4][5][6]

Trivia
- Presumably, this is not the same Gideon as on The Flash, as the two are voiced by different actresses. Furthermore, season one of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, established that all time ships belonging to the Time Masters, have an A.I. program like Gideon (all having names starting with the letter "G").[10][11]
