"The Flood Part One": Batgirl stops a train hijacking, impressing her young fan Nell and winning her the dubious admiration of the thief “Johnny C.” Commissioner Gordon afterwards commends her on a job well done and says she reminds him of someone.

Quote1 You're right--Johnny C does want to hurt people, this city is awful. Diseased. If this works maybe--just maybe--people will get the damned hint and leave Gotham. I mean seriously--why the hell does anyone live here anymore? Quote2
Johnny C

Synopsis for "The Flood Part One"

Batgirl stops a train hijacking, impressing her young fan Nell and winning her the dubious admiration of the thief “Johnny C.” Commissioner Gordon afterwards commends her on a job well done and says she reminds him of someone.

Barbara Gordon has been mentoring Wendy Kuttler, the daughter of her enemy the Calculator, and they are working together at Gotham University when Stephanie Brown comes to meet Barbara. Barbara takes her to the Firewall, the base she is constructing for them beneath her apartment building.

Detective Gage is called to an apparent suicide at Elysium Tech, but the victim's behavior before his death and the strange smell makes Gage and Gordon suspicious. Gage is looking into the victim's phone records when there is a security breach at the company. The silent alarm summons Batgirl. A mind-controlled security guard has stolen a briefcase, and when Gage stands in his way, the security guard goes to shoot him. Batgirl knocks the gun out of his hand, but the briefcase disappears during the fighting and the security guard jumps out the window. Batgirl is unable to hold him up with her grapple, and he falls to his death.

The coroner discovers a colony of nanites in the security guard's bloodstream. Oracle hacks into Elysium Tech's manifests and learns they're hoarding technology from Apokolips. She realizes the Calculator is behind this and orders Batgirl back to the Cave.

In Slaughter Swamp, another mind-controlled Elysium employee brings the Calculator the briefcase and is ordered to kill herself. The Calculator tells his son's corpse that he's going to get Wendy back and kill Oracle.
