Greenlandic Coat of arms with german license

[edit]

German Law for greenlandic coat of arms? I cannot find a danish or greenlandic equivalent. Jutta234 (talk) 19:30, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note − these are coats of arms of the old municipalities (pre-2009), which were tied to the towns. These are gone now, replaced by the relevant 4 municipalities and their coats of arms. I cannot see these being used these days. Algkalv (talk) 21:28, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That license tag is most certainly wrong, but I have no idea which one would be right. Are coas of denmark free? --PaterMcFly (talk) 08:52, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All those images currently reside in de:Kategorie:NowCommons:Mängel, because they weren't supposed to be transferred to commons in the first place. They're ok according to german law, but the copyright status in denmark is unknown. --PaterMcFly (talk) 09:03, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have now set the license as was suggested in my discussion page.--Lena Dyrdal Andersen (talk) 21:03, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{PD-Denmark-Gov}} as now marked in the files by Lena Dyrdal Andersen --Enzian44 (talk) 10:45, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

 Keep per Commons:Deletion requests/File:Croton Dam Muskegon River Dscn1100 cropped.jpg. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 16:19, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That seems unrelated? 188.178.233.110 15:10, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete With regards to coats of arms, there is no Danish equivalent to the German law and we will have to wait for the copyright to expire for these drawings to become free. {{PD-Denmark-Gov}} is misapplied here, as these are not official documents in the sense of §9 of the Danish copyright (works of visual art never are), but seperate works published in official documents and thus eligible for regular copyright protection just like any other drawings. 188.178.233.110 15:10, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted. These works are protected just as any other works. They are not so simple that they are {{PD-ineligible}}. If they were "a copy" of an old PD-image they could be kept. MGA73 (talk) 20:12, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
