Deutsch: Hartmut Michel (* 18. Juli 1948 in Ludwigsburg) ist ein deutscher Biochemiker. Er erhielt 1988 zusammen mit Johann Deisenhofer und Robert Huber den Nobelpreis für Chemie für die Erforschung der dreidimensionalen Molekülstruktur des Reaktionszentrums der Photosynthese im Purpurbakterium Rhodopseudomonas viridis.
