Penned by Nicolas Pleskof (off the back of La Fémis’ Script Workshop) and Elsa Marpeau (of the Capitaine Marleau series), the story revolves around Jeanne, a brilliant architect who is entrusted with the renovation of a sumptuous manor house belonging to the rather strange Daguerre family, who sit atop a board games empire. When family patriarch César is found murdered, Jeanne is drawn into a real-life murder mystery aimed at unmasking the assassin…

Produced by Amaury Ovise on behalf of Kazak Productions (who already worked with Nicolas Pleskof on two of his shorts) and co-produced by France 3 Cinéma, Pictanovo and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes-Cinéma, Murder Party further enjoys the support of Canal+ and Ciné+, and the backing of the SOFICA companies Cofinova, Sofitvcine and La Banque Postale Image. The six-week film shoot, which is scheduled to unfold in the Hauts-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions, will wrap on 15 January with Gilles Porte at the helm of photography. Distribution in France and international sales are both in the hands of Bac Films.
