Pitching

m:brane is a unique meeting place with focus solely on projects aimed at children and youth. Cinema, tv, documentaries, interactive, VR, immersive storytelling. Through the years, our Pitching Events have led to the improvement of the quality of the projects and of storytelling for kids. The personal interaction is crucial to us – it’s about chemistry. Each fall we send out the call for submissions. Submitting projects to m:brane is free of charge and each producer / production company can submit up to two different projects. If a project is selected, there will be a a fee for the accreditation.

Pitch Categories

m:brane has hitherto concentrated on projects in development, which will stay an important part of the forum. Based on research reports for Nordic Co-Productions for Children and Youth and feedback from various Decision Makers, we believe, that there is a demand for works, that are further down the line of realisation and we look forward to welcome our new pitch category, W-I-P, for Work In Progress projects.
This years pitch categories includes our Main Pitch, for projects in development, REALYOUNG Pitch, for documentary project and W-I-P, for projects that have gone into production, who are in post production or otherwise seem eligiable for this category.

The Pitching System

m:brane is a strictly B2B platform for producers with high visions, financiers, buyers, distributors and sales agents plus a number of professional observers, where they get an exclusive introduction to creative and highly innovative projects at an early stage.
Around 220 professionals from over 20 countries meet during three intensive days in a warm and friendly atmosphere in Malmö.

Pitch Award

This initiative from m:brane has been instigated to leverage the status of content aimed at a young audience.

The Award is installed to further encourage producers of kids- & youth content to continue their important work within the m:brane network, to produce relevant, edgy, artistic content that is in the forefront of new technology as well as of innovative storytelling. As such we aim to drive “Business for Arts Sake” – and further honour Smart Content for Savvy Young Audiences.
