Slot Machine stays on track
- The Parisian company managed by Marianne Slot is a partner of the new films in post-production by Bent Hammer, Lars von Trier and Emma Dante
This week, Norwegian director Bent Hammer finished the filming in Paris of 1001 grams (read the news), which recounts the mishaps of a Scandinavian scientist who comes to follow a seminar in the French capital. Produced by Bulbul Film with German company Pandora and French company Slot Machine, the new movie by the filmmaker selected four times in Cannes (for the Directors’ Fortnight with Eggs, Kitchen Stories and Factotum [+see also:

As the French partner of Danish director Lars von Trier since Breaking the Waves (1996), Slot Machine obviously coproduced his new opus, the two-part movie Nymphomaniac [+see also:

Slot Machine is also a coproduction partner of Via Castellana bandiera (article) by Italian director Emma Dante, a first feature film that could well premiere during the 70th Mostra in Venice (from August 28th to September 7th).
Amongst Slot Machine’s recent productions, it is worth mentioning Elles [+see also:

Amongst other projects, Slot Machine also handles the project currently in writing La Salle Gueule, which will be the first feature film by Marcia Romano (the screenwriter notably of Sous le sable, Les amitiés maléfiques and Pourquoi tu pleures?).
It is finally worth noting that Marianne Slot was named President of the commission for world cinema aid in May. Created in April 2012 at the initiative of the CNC, which co-manages it with the French Institute, the fund has enabled the backing of 53 feature films coproduced with France and directed by filmmakers from 37 different nationalities over the last year.
