Nicholas R. "Nick" Jennings is an art director, painter, supervising producer, and writer, who headed the Animation Department for Adventure Time, being responsible for the art direction on most of the episodes. He also painted many of the episodes' title cards.
In 1988, Nick Jennings served as a color consultant, layout artist and background artist for Hanna-Barbera's A Pup Named Scooby-Doo while working at Drew Takahashi's Colossal Pictures in San Francisco.
Prior to working on Adventure Time, he was art director on Nickelodeon's Rocko's Modern Life and CatDog before co-developing the hit show SpongeBob SquarePants alongside creator Stephen Hillenburg and former creative director Derek Drymon. He was also art director during its first four seasons as well as the feature film.
Jennings left Adventure Time during Season 6 to executive produce the 2016 reboot of The Powerpuff Girls.
