I'm surprised at your departure, had just begun to notice your past contributions. You had a very nice User page, and I was just starting to explore some of the metalworking articles you had worked on. I hope your departure was on good terms, with no ill feelings. Best of luck in your future endeavors! Reify-tech (talk) 04:02, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Surprised thanks from over here too. Thanks for your vandal cleanup most obviously, but also for being one of those editor names where you knew that the contributions would always be worthwhile. I hope to see you back. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:33, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What a shame you left. I always felt I could count on what you said to be accurate. I hope you decide to come back. TheMightyOrb (talk) 20:06, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article about Radha Thomas

[edit]

I am currently working on the Wiki page for Ms Radha Thomas. She is an Indian jazz singer and songwriter. In fact, she is known as a diva in the Indian jazz scene. She previously was with the band Human Bondage and has sung and performed globally. The article is still under development. I haven't completed it or submitted it for review yet. You can have a look at it at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Radha_Thomas. I will be requesting your help and advice (as usual) in making it conform to all Wiki standards. If you do a Google Search for Radha (https://www.google.co.in/#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=Radha+Thomas&oq=Radha+Thomas&gs_l=hp.3..0l2j0i30l2.1190.3159.0.3385.12.12.0.0.0.0.282.1949.0j11j1.12.0...0.0...1c.dYmnNUlMsQM&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=f6ee012440c72a74&biw=1024&bih=509) you will find dozens of articles and links to her work. As of now, the article is still under development and I will come bug you for help soon! Varunr (talk) 06:40, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have completed the article about Ms Radha Thomas and am contemplating to move it to the AFC space. Before that, I'd really appreciate if you could have a look and give me some inputs, suggestions and advice and hopefully a green signal :-). Dynamic IP

[edit]

You recently posted a note on "User talk:75.169.177.160" about editing the "Laser cutting" page (adding a source). I was not logged in so I guess this message was waiting for me when I came into Wikipedia. I have never visited that page, and my guess is that that note you sent will never reach the person who did edit that page since my ISP uses dynamic address assignment, so the chances they will get the same IP address again is pretty slim. Since that note will never be delivered to the right person, I am guessing the best thing to do is just remove that reference or put a "citation needed" tag on there or something.

There is no need to reply to this. The chance of me getting a reply from you at "User talk:75.169.177.160" is again not very likely, especially since I am usually logged in for months at a time under my normal username and the chance that my IP will change before I find myself logged out again is pretty high. --75.169.177.160 (talk) 11:42, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Flatness (electrical engineering)

[edit]

The article Flatness (electrical engineering) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unable to locate sources that talk about this in detail. I found this textbook, but the coverage it provides is not nearly enough to show that this topic merits an article

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bta drill listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Bta drill. Since you had some involvement with the Bta drill redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Si Trew (talk) 18:51, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain the use of "proud" as used below

[edit]

Regarding https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casting_defect, paragraph "Sand Casting", states:

Scabs are a thin layer of metal that sits proud of the casting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JTPOB (talkcontribs) 22:07, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Bowtie cotter pin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A patent (WP:SPS) doesn't convey notability. Only if secondary attention is paid to it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
