I have nominated Sharps Chapel, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sharps Chapel. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Shadowjams (talk) 12:13, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I completely rewrote the article to conform with Wikipedia content policy and guidelines, and I terminated the deletion nomination. Please be advised that Wikipedia is not a platform for creative writing or personal essays. The material that you contributed was interesting, but it did not belong in the encyclopedia. Before you add additional content, please read up on Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Also, it might be helpful to you to look at existing articles on other small communities as examples -- I suggest Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, Kyles Ford, Tennessee, and Russellville, Tennessee. --Orlady (talk) 18:09, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Sharps Chapel, Tennessee, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Information on farming and farming history in the Sharps Chapel area, including your information on the Shelby farm, might be a worthwhile addition to the article, but Wikipedia cannot write articles on the basis of original research or personal knowledge. Content must be verifiable on the basis of information published in reliable sources. Do you have sources to cite? --Orlady (talk) 22:13, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make test edits to articles, as you did with this edit to Sharps Chapel, Tennessee, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits constitute vandalism, and will be reverted. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. Thank you. LeilaniLad (talk) 22:23, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
