Hi, I'm doing more in depth edits of the page Epithemia (algal taxon that I have a lot of knowledge in) and there's taxonomic dispute of what belongs in Epithemia. Some scientists have adopted new taxonomy and others haven't. Is there an established way to work on listing species, but noting which ones are disputed as part of the genus (e.g. Epithemia gibberula, prev. Rhopalodia gibberula) or something? @Cyanochic: Welcome to Wikipedia! Well, you could note the taxonomic dispute in each article where it applies, citing the conflicting journals, or start a discussion on the Epithemia talk page, but my guess is that you'll get more traction on the general question by discussing the relative positions reflected by current journals on the Project Algae Talk page. I see you are a member of the project. I know of no other established ways to work on listing species' taxonomies than either article-by-article or through the project. Cheers! @Ainullahwahaj: The only thing I know about the defunct website Rabb.it is in the Wikipedia article you mentioned. I assume you know that Wikipedia itself is not the place to open a crowd website, so you will have to search out web hosts on your own. Did you have a question about how Wikipedia works? I want to clarify my statement. I will get paid by Georgia Tech whether I write this article or not. I'm not paid directly for writing this article. In my position, I feel it is appropriate to write it and I have the knowledge to share this information. I gain nothing monetarily from writing this article. I work for a public institution. I am paid by Georgia Tech, but not to write this article. If this still makes me a paid contributor, let me know.

@Monique Waddell: Yes, as I've posted on the draft article Talk page, editing on behalf of your employer is paid editing which must be disclosed, whether you are specifically paid to edit the article or not. The subject of the article is an employee of Georgia Tech, so that you have a clear conflict of interest when writing about a fellow employee and, since you are paid by the organization, you are acting within the scope of your employment when editing the article about Mr. Walker per Wikipedia's Terms of Use. Hello. This looks exciting community. And I'm suprised I join only now after having used Wikipedia so much :)

My intention to join was to help my good friend to add her daughter, a promising gymnast to create a page about her.

I created that initial page yesterday https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lia_Kallio but it got rejected almost immediately. Would it maybe help me to have the page created and published if I use an actual account instead of anonymous creation? This Lia Kallio is Finnish Gymnast and aiming for the next Olympics. @Timoki: You've written about your experience on the Finnish Wikipedia. Each language Wikipedia is separately administered by its own, unique group of volunteers, and there is no central oversight or coordination. Oh, intersting, thank you so much for quick reply! I think I will start being active on Finnish Wikipedia albeit I do use it a lot in English too.

Nit one more question, this gymnast Lia Kallio is mentioned on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Rhythmic_Gymnastics_World_Championships - if I click her name would it make sense to start the article creation from that in English or should I prefer creating the article in Finnish and then find out how to proceed to translations?
