Please do not critize a belief

Don't put God is a fictional character in books because He certainly not. Do not make fun a beliefs please. Countless believrs (including me) don't like atheism but you don't see us putting ATHEISM IS SHIIIAAAAAT!. I'm not saying you did but on the talk page you said 'the first line should be 'God is a fictional character in books like'". That was very offensive. Please refrain from such comments.--Angel David (talk) 19:55, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Fragbite screen.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Fragbite screen.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:58, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Please play nice

I'd just like to informally remind you that, regardless of the dispute (I'm speaking of your personal attack on Talk:Kosovo), it's best to remain civil in all interactions with other editors. Thanks. SMC (talk) 06:20, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Tv3sweden.svg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Tv3sweden.svg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 06:05, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Image:Tv3sweden.svg

I have tagged Image:Tv3sweden.svg as a disputed use of non-free media, because there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please clarify your fair use rationale on the image description page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 17:22, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Differences

Unless verified by a third-party source it is near enough OR. Just sourcing the book and the film, does not prove anything was changed. Yeah, it's pretty obvious, but you can still argue it's just an interpratation. Therefore, unless a reliable source can be found which specifically states "this was cut", then it really can't be included. Gran2 07:57, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Premier League titles

Regarding your edit to Premier League 2007-08, how can you imply that Manchester United have won 17 Premier League titles. There haven't even been that many seasons of the Premier League. Manchester United have won 10 Premier League titles, and to suggest that their Football League First Division titles should be counted with their Premier League titles is incorrect. – PeeJay 21:30, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Finals template

Hi there. Good work with the template so far. I just wondered if there was anyway you could add an "optional" line for scorers. If you look at FA Cup Finals, that list has scorers. Though I'm not sure the best way of doing it, just trying to throw some ideas about. Peanut4 (talk) 13:37, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Austria squads

Yup, I started the discussion! I think the naming of Austria Squad UEFA Euro 2008 is correct, but felt it would be right for that one to be deleted as it was made after Austria Squad 2008 Euro Cup (albeit one minute...). Then, this one can be renamed to a more correct title. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 11:50, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Kit colours

Hey man, I see you darkened the colour of the Croatia kit in the lineup image. Having looked at photos of the game, however, I'd say the kit is actually lighter than the colour that UEFA have it as. Same goes for France's kit today. Do you think we should lighten the colours a bit? – PeeJay 16:55, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough. Also, do you know how I can get the accented letters to align properly when they display in Firefox? They look fine in Inkscape, but when I get them uploaded, the alignment looks weird. – PeeJay 17:01, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Ah, nice one. That's a good link, that. Well, I've lightened the colours and fixed the accented letters. Noticed anything else wrong with the lineups? – PeeJay 17:43, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
The ones I just did? I'll have a go at lightening them in a sec. – PeeJay 19:50, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Request

Image hidden to save space

I want someone to make a TOC(Tables of content) template for wikipedia like this[2]. If you know how to make, then please put on your effort as it will be good for wikipedia and its users. *The image is an edited one*. I didn't find any template that would break or split the contents into half and put the other half on right side[3]. This template will utilize the blank space and will make the contents table easily accessible without scrolling down. THANKS. Harryroger (talk) 12:33, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

A little problem

Hello, there is a little problem with your map;

Image hidden to save space

West Germany and Germany are the same country, West Germany just absorbed East Germany. Same for Russia which was recognized as "continuing legal personnality" of the Soviet Union ;) May you modify the map or adding a note to explain why Germany has only 1 title and not 3 (same for Russia) ? Thanks --Uncle Scrooge (talk) 17:19, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Hu ? This is the current results table ;

Successful national teams

As you can see Germany has three titles. Yugoslavia and Serbia aren't the same state, Serbia is only a sucessor state. For Russia the table is incorrect from a legal point of view, Russia is the same state than USSR. If you need information about USSR legal sucession just look at Russia article, editors had a endless debate about this problem ;)

For Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia the table is wrong. There are not the same country. I'll modify that tomorrow ;) Uncle Scrooge (talk) 03:04, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Order of the Phoenix

Hi there. When I changed the headquarters, I also changed the leader part and rather used "until HP6" instead of "until his death" (to avoid in-universe). But I think that you are right, we should only mention Dumbledore because we do not know who was the leader (you mentioned Kingsley, I was thinking of Mad-Eye at the beginning, and McGonagall in the Battle of Hogwarts, so definitely no one was the single leader like Dumbledore). --Lord Opeth (talk) 17:16, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

That was big of you

I don't want to gloat, nor to sound as if I am, but it was very big of you to make those changes to template:UEFA European Football Championship Champions. I was confident that I had decent grounds for my preference, but I'm very aware that there was no consensus. I admire your willingness to make the changes that I didn't have the know-how of codes to do: the float code looks to be the key one that I was unaware of. Thank you for your co-operation. Hey man, nice work with the anti-aliasing on the German home kit image. Any chance you could do the same for the Spain home and away kits? Also, could you make the colours a bit more realistic? The Spain home kit is a bit too light at the minute. I'm thinking #FF0000 would be appropriate. – PeeJay 19:45, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Cheers dude. I'm not very happy with the shape of the lines on the Spain kits either. I think they should be a bit further to the sides, but you should do as you see fit. – PeeJay 19:49, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Nice work, man. Looks awesome. – PeeJay 21:08, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Since you do not understand the diff between Kosova and kosovo, I then ask you to be quiet and not interfere in others affairs. Please do not reply back, I can't say I am interested to hear what you have to say. Ari d'Kosova (talk) 04:00, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

That's not the only difference...or the most important. Ari d'Kosova (talk) 14:14, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

You DO NOT know the difference..you think it's because I'm picking to speak Albanian over English..and that is NOT why I was upset. Please ask an expert why kosovo = insult. PS, I'm deleting your section again. Ari d'Kosova (talk) 15:18, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

It has nothing to do with hating Serbia. I don't hate Serbia, I dislike Serbia but do not hate. I have Serb friends here in America and in Kosova. Again I think it is important for you to get a third party opinion from a non-Albanian expert why kosovo is an insult to Albanian speakers and ask them to relate "kosovo" to "serbian cultural opression" than you might learn why kosovo is a derogatory term. Hey there!! You did a great job, I don't know how you did it but it seems more organized and better looking (especially the col. about the book 1, which I don't know why it was slighlty larger than the rest). Good job! --LøЯd ۞pεth 23:08, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

I just fixed {{Navbox with columns}} to let you use the colheaders or colfooters without using any main columns. Your new Harry Potter template on the test page seems to work fine now. Let me know if you need any other changes or have other problems with any of the Navbox templates. I've very glad to see people using the advanced features I built into the Navbox suite (i.e. colheaders, child templates, and combining {{Navbox with columns}} and {{Navbox}} together). --CapitalR (talk) 18:31, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Fb Round2 Templates

Hey Chandler. Sorry, but I just had to undo some of your changes to the Fb Round2 templates: those breakes there are necessary in some cases. As you might see from my edit summaries, I pointed out that not everyone has big monitors - those changes you made might indeed look good on high-resolution monitors, but if viewed at a lower resolution (1024x768, for example), that Qualification or Relegation column expands like crazy! And besides, {{Fb cl header}} has a fixed width of Qualification or Relegation column - 250 pixels, so the contents of the cells of that column shouldn't exceed 250 pixels, otherwise it would make the column look ugly. So I would ask you to test before making such big changes, as it took me a while to find out what started causing the standings table in Russian Premier League 2008 to look ugly. Thanks,  ARTYOM  20:53, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

The character of Harry Potter is repulsive to me due to the clear devil worship that goes on in ever book. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Helsinki ESC 2007.svg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Helsinki ESC 2007.svg.

Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. WP:FOOTY discussion

Hi Chandler, not to sound annoying or anything, but I've recently started a discussion regarding the names of Brazilian clubs on wikipedia (here) and considering the scale and importance of the clubs involved and the fact that there is no formal move request, I thought it might be a good idea to inform some of the regular WP:FOOTY contributors in order to get a consensus and not just a few opinions. So if you could take a second to express your opinion, it would be appreciated, cheers. BanRay 22:20, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Championship map

Circa to the discussion I started a week or two back about the possibility of making three seperate articles for the Football League, I decided to make this user subpage to investigate how a Championship 2008-09 season article would appear if made. I've been using the Premier League article as a template to go off, and my attention was brought to your map of team locations. I tried to recreate it for the Championship, but it seems all of the grid coordinates are off. I was wondering if you could help me puzzle out how it works, because I'd rather not have to do it by trial and error as I did for my example of a Premier League map - it took hours. Any help you could give me on working it out would be great. Falastur2 Talk 16:03, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

That's great, thanks. And while I welcome your offer of help, please don't feel like I am forcing you into it. Only redo the map if you truly want to commit to my little exercise. That said, I've made an offer on the Football League 2008-09 talk page for people to feel free to edit as they feel fit on my user page, so by no means feel like you're specifically doing this on commission from me. Map of teams in the Championship

Hey. I came to you a few weeks back wondering about your code for the maps in the Premier League and Football Championship season articles this year, pinpointing the locations of the teams. As I recall, I tried to use it last time and found that the grid coordinates IRL don't match those on your template. I was wondering if you could give me a tutorial in how to use it, if there is a system, or whether using it is down instead to placing the dots hopefully and then making small corrections on them until they actually match up with the actual locations. I've got another project on the go now, back-writing up previous Football League seasons by division, so I was hoping to use it on each of them, and a way to be more accurate and efficient than trial and error would be great. Thanks. Falastur2 Talk 08:27, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:RFU.svg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
