LaLiga is making an effort to use the appropriate denomination. The official statutes, in its chapter 1 and article 1, establish the official denomination as "Liga Nacional de Futbol Profesional".

The name Liga de Fútbol Profesional was abandoned in 2015, and its acronym "LFP" has been widely used in the media and is incorrect and confusing because it is the same acronym as the French league, which is officially called "LFP". Therefore, we are trying to ensure that the correct names are applied: either "LaLiga" or "la liga" or "Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional". This is going to be my main work in Wikipedia, and what we want to defend from this sports institution.

Please avoid making direct edits to pages in which you have a COI

[edit]

Please use Template:Requested edit to request edits to existing pages in which you have a conflict-of-interest. Please use the instructions in WP:Requested moves#Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves to request page-moves if you have a conflict-of-interest. For new articles on topics in which you have a conflict-of-interest, please use the Articles for Creation process.

If you have other accounts, please disclose them publicly if you can, or privately if privacy is an issue. Instructions are at WP:SOCKLEGIT and WP:SOCK#NOTIFY. The same applies if you are collaborating with other editors on a topic in which one or both of you have a conflict of interest. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:05, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please use Template:connected contributor (paid) on talk pages if you edit an article or template as a paid editor

[edit]

While you should not be directly editing these articles and templates at all, if you do, please add something like the following to the talk page:

{{Connected contributor (paid)
| checked = <!-- 31-12-2016 by {{u|Example}} -->
| User1  = AraceliLaLiga| U1-employer  = LaLiga | U1-client  =      | U1-EH  = yes | U1-banned  =     | U1-otherlinks  = ([[Special:Diff/1007492956|disclosure]])
}}

I have already done this for you for Talk:Liga de Fútbol Profesional, Talk:Segunda División,Talk:La Liga, and Template talk:Football in Spain. I did not do so for Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional since I reverted your change. This should go through the "requested move" process outlined in my earlier comment. Also, because the page has more than one edit, only administrators and "page movers" can move the page. Had the page been left alone, any "autoconfirmed" editor (that is, almost all editors with 10 edits and a 4-day-old account) would have been able to close the "requested move" discussion after a week and move the page.

If I missed any of your contributions to articles or templates, please go back and add the "connected contributor (paid)" template to their respective talk pages.

I don't think it applies to you, but if you find yourself editing pages which are unrelated to your paid editing but which to present a "conflict of interest" - say, a page about the company a close friend or family member works for or owns - use Template:Connected contributor instead. Better yet, don't edit those pages directly, use Template:Requested edit for existing articles and templates and WP:Articles for creation for new ones. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:21, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
