Ietsism and punctuation

[edit]

Hello! I noticed you undid my punctuation change to Ietsism, and I wanted to clarify that Wikipedia uses "logical quotation", which you can read about here: MOS:LOGICAL. Typically, we want the punctuation outside of the quotation marks (unless we're explicitly quoting someone in full, and the punctuation appears in the quoted fragment). Wikipedia doesn't use the 'American style' quotation, even if the article is written with American English spelling. Specifically, from MOS:LOGICAL: Do not follow quoted words or fragments with commas inside the quotation marks, except where a longer quotation has been broken up and the comma is part of the full quotation. Thanks! GhostOfNoMan 08:00, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
