Importance - Merging

[edit]

Super 17 is not an important character, he's probably a quatrary character. Lots of secondary and tertiary characters have already nonsensically been merged, so there's no logical reason that this even lesser character who appears in 5 episodes total and has absolutely no other appearances to retain a page. Super 17 plays no role other than being a construct between the two 17's and get killed right away. This character is definitely a very limited one and should obviously be merged since many more secondary and tertiary characters who play larger roles have already been merged.

i don't know. I feel super 17 was a main villain. then again, his appearance was rather limited also...so i guess it's best to merge him since he could be considered tertiary at best. - 69.86.243.244

I actually feel the same way. Super 17's actual appearance doesn't last for very long in comparison to a lot of other villains in the series. But I feel that this should be merged with the Android 17 article, not "List of other Earthlings" or "List of other Aliens", since it does involve Android 17 himself. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.211.91.20 (talk) 14:46, 7 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Do the androids have Ki or not?

[edit]

I seem to recall DBZ stating that the androids/cyborgs/artificial humans do not have Ki, but GT implies they do. Error or am I just missing something? 4.253.44.132 01:07, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • No, this is definately an error on Toei's part. They completely forgot that the Artificial Humans do not have ANY Ki. Thus making it impossible for Trunks to have been able to sense #17 earlier and say it was a Ki similar to #18's and Goku being able to use the Instantaneous Movement to get behind Super #17. • I'm gonna have to file this under "creative license". 17 and 18 are human, thus they do have at least some life force. It may not be what gives them their powers but it's definitely there.--Marhawkman 22:35, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I argee but also that the 2nd #17 wasn't really a android. That 17 was a Machine Mutant and most machine mutants had ki. Also with the two 17's fusioning it changed their physical forms to something new. So they could have changed to a form where ki could be felt by the Z-fighters. A counter-point to this is how Goku compared it to #18's ki...--Marhawkman 21:45, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

notes

[edit]

is the notes really necessary...i mean i don't believe he looks anything like manson and that's just speculation. it's not up to wiki standards. - Zarbon

Last Section Of Article

[edit]

O.o alright, I have no idea what that means, at all. That was the most confusing thing I have ever read. Can somone tell me what it means once my headache goes away?KojiDude 21:23, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could you be more specific?--Marhawkman 22:33, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dengeki jigoku Dama

[edit]

The name translates to "Electric (Dengeki) Hell (Jigoku) Ball (Dama)". Dengeki also translates to "Blitzkreig", hence earlier confusion.

Gunsword: Well I don't why there should be a problem to include both the original name and its translation. I don't recall seeing the Goku article replacing the "orginal" name of the "Kamehameha" with "Turtle Destruction Wave". The original will they in its place along with the mention of dub, videogame title and its translation.

Super 17 Flash Bomber

[edit]

I am removing the line below because it is untrue, Super 17 did use the attack where he took off his hand and did rapid fire blasts in the Anime. It is not an alternative version or an oversight.

"The Budokai Tenkaichi series has an alternate version of the Flash Bomb called "Hell's Storm", in which the beams are super fast and come out of blasters within his arm after he removes his hand off like Android 16 would. This is possibly an oversight by Spike as Super 17 is not purely mechanical and therefore could not effortlessly remove body parts in this manner. " Super 4 Vegeta 03:09, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I put it back, but as a separate ability rather than as an alternate Flash Bomb. (I remembered seeing him do it to Majuub in the anime, so if you hadn't deleted it, I would've changed it so that it wasn't listed as an alternate Flash Bomb) And that includes the oversight thing; there is a point about it, just that it was Toei (the makers of DBGT) instead of Spike (the makers of the game) that may have made the mistake. There's still no explanation as to how he could have that ability. Neither of the Super 17 fusees is purely mechanical, and if what we know about Android 17's cybernetic implants is any indication, there was actually little enough done that I don't see how it should give him the ability to do that. 172.148.30.53 20:24, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nomenclature

[edit]

Please either stick to dub names or actual names. At least once, there is an alternation between Krillin and Kuririn. Keep in mind the target audience may not be familiar with non dub names. 70.149.103.165 23:15, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Um, No. -Dark Dragon Flame 23:42, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
