MVD is currently ranked 41st on the Wi-Fi Warrior Rank v7 , 2nd on the Las Vegas Ultimate Power Rankings , 33rd on the OrionRank 2022 North America , and 90th on the LumiRank 2023 ; he was also formerly ranked 1st on the Oklahoma Ultimate Power Rankings . He has defeated players such as Tweek , Sonix , Kola , Zomba , Samsora , MuteAce , and ESAM .
In Smash 4 Diddy Kong player, and was considered one of the best Diddy Kong players in the world after ZeRo 's retirement (along with Zinoto ). He tends to use aggression by setting up as many grenades and C4s as possible and consistently looks for opportunities to frame trap his opponent or lead them into his C4 planted on the ground. MVD also is known to combo off of the grenade’s explosive knockback, leading into high damaging confirms and sequences. MVD frequently uses snake’s tilts, aerials, and dash attack as burst options to throw his opponent back in disadvantage whenever they try to approach or punish him. His defense is also noted for being one of the strongest among Snake’s in that he creates a tough wall of projectiles for his opponents to think about while at the same time think about approaching him. MVD is also known to memorize various character’s effects after down throw so he can confirm down throw forward tilt on them or when they are at 160%, he can guarantee an up tilt after down throw.
However, MVD tends to struggle when he is in disadvantage or when his opponents find a way in. His predictable grenade out of disadvantage or air dodge is often called out by opponents, allowing his landing to be hard punished by most players, such as Fatality , Kola , MkLeo , and more. He also struggles against other players who tend to use his grenades against him or other projectiles that interrupt his gameplan.

On July 2nd, 2020, amidst a wave of sexual harassment allegations in the community , a girl named Kaitlyn, going by the Twitter handle KTDominate, posted in a Twitlonger that D1 had raped her while she was drunk during Smash the Record 2016 and told all of his friends about the experience [1] Wrath would come out with a screenshot from anonymous user who not only claimed that D1 had sex with KTDominate, but that MVD provided her with alcohol.[2] [3] [4]

He is known for defending Lylat Cruise as a stage, popularizing the phrase "Lylat is beautiful and perfect" in Twitter, which he posts almost on a daily basis as a response to the stage's mixed reception.
During Brawl' s lifetime, he was also known for popularizing the hashtag "#SnakeSucks", which he used on several Facebook statuses, even those unrelated to Smash .
His heavy and creative usage of Rocketbarrel Boost at CEO 2015 earned him the title of "The Barrel Technician".
MVD was an employee at Arcade Odyssey, where he participates at local smash tournaments held at the arcade, and is currently known as the face of the arcade.
