I.V. Ophelia hails from a small town in New England and has inhabited NYC for a little over half a decade. She is known for her gothic Victorian vampire series, The Poisoner.

When she is not writing the most unhinged thing she can think of, Ophelia spends most of her time as a full-time artist, 19th-century gown collector, animal mom, antique furniture hoarder, world traveler, and overall menace.

“she had attempted to poison me. Believe me when I say this woman gave me butterflies in my stomach. Though that might just be internal bleeding. Either way, she had charmed me.”
I.V. Ophelia, The Poisoner

“If he were something to be consumed, I feared I would not savor him and would selfishly eat him first- no time for saving the best bite for last. Only the need to have him remained.”
I.V. Ophelia, The Poisoner

“She would make the most beautiful apparition, already haunting every corner of my mind.”
I.V. Ophelia, The Poisoner

“I was a woman when it was convenient to blame me, and a girl when they wanted to use me.”
Ava Reid, A Study in Drowning

“Personal pleasures were like drying flowers, best kept away from the light to preserve their vibrance.”
I.V. Ophelia, The Poisoner

“My father said unmarked hands were a sign of a man who had not worked for his achievements. He was most likely referring to a future husband, but I decided that it was a standard I wished to hold myself to as well. ”
