S. R. Thomas is a slightly geeky British/Irish/Kiwi author and translator who lives with his family in Lyon. Geeks Beyond Time is his first novel. His English translations of German non-fiction work, mostly about art or architecture, have been appearing in book form since 2006. From 2015 to 2018, he was president of the preposterously geeky International Table Hockey Federation.

S.R. Thomas, Geeks Beyond Time

“She decides against doing anything that might disrupt the amazing inner calm he’s conveying right now. Cool and collected as ever, he appears to be applying that clever mental preparation technique he developed for himself – the one that involves a lot of shallow fast-paced breathing, staring unblinkingly into space and quivering intensely.”
S.R. Thomas, Geeks Beyond Time

“They’ve tried everything they could think of, but to say that it has been like the blind leading the blind would be exaggerating the productivity of the endeavour.”

“Could this underwear pass as a swimming costume? Perhaps. Is there such a thing as a Y-front swimming costume? Probably.”

“Jeremy watches the intergeek distances increase, the outward expansion of geeks, from the central point where they were all clustered just now, out into the dark unknown, like a slow-motion geek explosion. Like the Big Bang of geekdom.”
