Leavenworth County (county code LV) is a county in the U.S. state of Kansas. In 2020, 81,881 people lived there.[1] Its county seat is Leavenworth. Leavenworth is also the biggest city in Leavenworth County.[2]

Geography

The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 469 square miles (1,210 km2). Of that, 463 square miles (1,200 km2) is land and 6.1 square miles (16 km2) (1.3%) is water.[3] It is the fifth-smallest county in Kansas.
