Some skills are hidden. Skills given by weapons/accessories/mounts are usable so long as that weapon/accessory/mount are equipped. Skills given by other items are usable so long as the character has that item in his/her inventory. Skills given by food is usable for the rest of the chapter in which the food was consumed.
