- -atik is added to back-vowel verbs ending in a consonant + t and most monosyllabic verbs
- -etik is added to front-vowel verbs ending in a consonant + t and most monosyllabic verbs
- -tatik is added to back-vowel verbs ending in a vowel + t
- használ (“to use”) + -tatik → használtatik (“to be used”)
- -tetik is added to front-vowel verbs ending in a vowel + t
- nevez (“to name”) + -tetik → neveztetik (“to be named”)
