Questions by me

[edit]

@BluJay:How do you guys make pictures? When do we do the fun stuff like PICTURES???!!! @Pythonessofdelphi:@BluJay:I`m BORED, can you guys help me???!!! @BluJay:Are you going to be able to talk to me soon. Ooppss already used (talk)

@Ooppss already used: Please don't post on my talk page, especially if you're going to be rude. Please try to understand that I am in school and am involved in outside of school sports. Sometimes I cannot find time for Wikipedia in my busy schedule. Here's a list of "fun things" to do.
  1. Go to wp:Wikifauna to find out what sort of wikicreature you are.
  2. Join a few projects wp:projects
  3. Add to your userpage
  4. Look at others userpages to get ideas and links to cool pages. You can look at the teahouse to find experienced editors whose pages may be interesting.
  5. Make your first mainspace edit

Any questions? Post them here or at the teahouse, but not on my talk page please. BluJay (talk) 00:34, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Things to get you started on Wikipedia

[edit]

Ooppss already used Pythonessofdelphi has already told you how to get to user pages and User talk pages, here's the rest! (Of the basic stuff)

  1. You can look at regular articles by just typing their name or a keyword into the search bar.
  2. You can look at Wikipedia articles meant just for Wikipedia editors by typing in wp: then the thing you wish to search into the search bar.
  3. Go to wp:teahouse if you have any questions that you don't think I can answer. Once there, just click on the ask a question button, and type up your question.
  4. You will be notified when somebody mentions you or posts something to your talk page.
  5. Add things to your watch list by clicking the star icon underneath the title. (You may want to add my talk page to your watch list, along with any articles you've edited)
  6. Edit something by clicking on the icon that looks like a pencil. Do not edit something if what you are adding or taking away from the page doesn't improve the quality of the article.

Once you've got that, reply to me here, or on my talk page. Then we can move onto the fun stuff! 😁 I want you to try each and every item on the list above, even if your edit is only to this talk page. I don't care how long it takes you, and please only reply to me once you are finished with this task or have a question. Good luck, and happy editing! BluJay (talk) 17:39, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Ooppss already used: Done yet? BluJay (talk) 01:33, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Ooppss already used: Just a few more things before you're ready for the fun stuff.
  1. Sign your posts
  2. Use the ping format to notify someone ex: {{ping|their Username then you close it off with two more squiggly brackets
  3. When you're replying to someone and you want your post to be shifted to the right just put in this -> : before your post.
  4. When posting a message on someone's talk page (or anywhere really) post it at the BOTTOM.

Show me that you know all of this, by using everything in the list above in your reply to me! Good luck! (If you get confused, look at how I wrote my post) BluJay (talk) 02:05, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Ooppss already used: Remember that slapping someone with a trout is a joke that some may find rude or offensive. Only slap someone with a trout if they did something silly, and if you think they won't be offended by it. It is not a decoration for your userpage. BluJay (talk) 02:38, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Ooppss already used: Also, when posting on my talk page, or anyone else's post your message at the bottom of the entire page, not just that section. I'm still waiting for your post to this page to signify that you're ready for the "fun stuff". Your question has been answered at the teahouse. It is nice to thank your host. BluJay (talk) 02:41, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Ooppss already used: When you are talking to someone, you ping the person you're talking to, not yourself. Please stop posting on my talk page unless it is important. We can only start with the "fun stuff" once you have mastered the things in both of the lists above. Also, sign your posts only when you are completely done with the message (meaning sign at the very bottom of the message) reply to me here. BluJay (talk) 12:30, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Ooppss already used: If you would like me to help you, please be polite. Also, you did not follow my instructions.
  1. You're still posting on my talk page and not yours.
  2. You just put this symbol : you don't need the arrow before it,and you only use that when there is already a message before yours on the page.
  3. Please, please, please post at the bottom of the page.

Once you reply HERE using the appropriate format, that I have told you about in all of the lists above, we can begin. BluJay ([[User talk:BluJay|talk]]) 22:52, 6 April 2015 (UTC):@BluJay:Come on. And hurry.Ooppss already used (talk) 23:19, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Teahouse

[edit]

Hi there - just a heads up that I have moved your recent question at the Teahouse from the bottom of the page to the top. Most talk pages require that new discussions be placed at the bottom of the page. At the Teahouse, however, new questions are placed at the top to maximize visibility. Thanks! ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 22:38, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:13, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Exasperated

[edit]

Ooppss, If you are going to post on my talk page please post something coherent also post at the BOTTOM of the page. Also it is generally not nice to whack people with minnows/diet trouts/trouts/whales. If you do that to much you could possibly end up in trouble.
