Attendance Numbers

Seriously, what is the deal with everyone deleting them? They seem to be important enough to be added onto the main article. But somehow not necessary to people who think they "own" this wiki-page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.214.140.83 (talk) 00:38, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

For one, they aren't sourced. Two, they aren’t needed on this page. -- bulletproof 3:16 04:39, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
I think they could have a valid place on the page, as long as they are sourced, as many of them (especially the third and most recent few) convey how huge the events are with the mass attendance figures.Tony2Times (talk) 21:35, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Here's a source, the WrestleMania events themselves, they always tell the sold out attendance.--Nascarking (talk) 01:55, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Main Events

The main event for each WM should be listed on this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.243.10 (talk) 20:17, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

No it shouldn't. Feedback 21:22, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
The last time I checked, No it shouldn't is a chickenshit answer. How about you actually cite a policy forbidding it. Christ. Killswitch Engage (talk) 18:36, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

How do we already know that Cena & the Undertaker will be the main event at WM-XXVII? I'm not changing it, as there may just be a way to know this .... dunno. But it sure looks strange announcing something like that a year in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.213.196.36 (talk) 06:16, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

Oops, never mind .... just got deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.213.196.36 (talk) 06:18, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

Celebrities

Floyd Mayweather should be listed as being involved in a WrestleMania match. He is scheduled to take on the Big Show in a match at WrestleMania XXIV.96.3.72.93 (talk) 06:52, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Future events are not noted per WP:PW. Rest assured he'll be added after 'Mania. ♥NiciVampireHeart15:01, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

WrestleMania XXV

Just advertised on WrestleMania XXIV, so it's been officially announced. Poison-System-X (talk) 02:14, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

I have now officially started the article. Mal1988 (talk) 04:07, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Stats and Records

I just want to let everyone know of my stats and records section. Please don't delete, I thought it would be cool to have if people would like to view main event appearances of who has the most and record, ya know? Thanks! -"The Lizard" Joe Gauna —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.155.200.2 (talk) 06:22, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

If it doesn't have any sources, it can't stay. Sorry. TJ Spyke 15:48, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

It's Source was from the box above with wrestlemania's main events. -"The Lizard" Joe Gauna

Stats and records are not to be added per WP:TRIVIA.--SRX 02:18, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

A mess up on History

I think these people who think Wrestlemaina 25 is really 24 need to remember Wrestlemaina like Easter change months it flips from April to March every year so for anyone that thinks WWE is wrong need to do understand that their not —Preceding unsigned comment added by Supermike (talkcontribs) 03:03, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Um, what? TJ Spyke 03:10, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Second that.--UnquestionableTruth-- 03:30, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Oh dear God in you people are in charge of the wrestling and you don't know anything WrestleMania changes Months —Preceding unsigned comment added by Supermike (talkcontribs) 04:54, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Well, it's like when a crazy person comes up to you and starts saying random stuff. Also, WrestleMania does not switch every year between March and April, they usually have it several years in a row one or the other. Do you have a suggestion to improve this article or not? Because that is what talkpages are for. TJ Spyke 05:02, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Yes get your facts right or let us wrestling fans do it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Supermike (talkcontribs) 14:20, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

I can see from your edit history that you are choosing to be disruptive and you continue to spout BS. Please stop now before you get blocked. You are upset because you don't know what an anniversary is. TJ Spyke 18:32, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

add the offical WM26 logo in the logo of WM-WM26--Cooly123 (talk) 15:53, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Way too early. The WrestleMania logo first announced is often changed before the event happens (the first logo revealed for WrestleMania XXV looked like a sheriff's badge). TJ Spyke 16:19, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

changed the main event for this years mania to TBD

Since we do not know which match will main event. It can be Jericho/Edge. But it could also be Cena/Batista, Hart/Mcmahon or Taker/HBK. There are 4 possible main events this year —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.81.176.14 (talk) 14:01, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Only 1 main event

I thought the consensus was the last match on the card is technically the main event, despite how the event is booked? So why are all the "booked" main events listed as well (I.e both world title matches etc) 86.128.47.161 (talk) 19:21, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

First of all there was never a consensus. Secondly, all sports cards in combat sports are known for having multiple "main events" on certain occasions. Ever heard of a "co-main event" in boxing? Let it go.--UnquestionableTruth-- 02:58, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
i've always been under the impression that WrestleMania was a supercard event (an event with multiple main events but has 1 main event of all the main events). ex: WrestleMania XXVI had 3 main events Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge, Batista (c) vs John Cena, and THE Main Event, Mr. WrestleMania, HBK vs the Undertaker --Nascarking (talk) 02:54, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
There is no such thing as "main event of all main events" in sports cards of combat sports. There are however instances where a main event is promoted more than other main events on a card that has multiple main events. There really isn't a problem with these "co-main events" being listed since it falls within the definition of what a main event is (as it pertains to combat sports).--UnquestionableTruth-- 02:24, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon was not The Main Event Match it wasn't even a Main Event Match. It a Mid Card Match. Matches with more at stake like Edge vs. Chris Jericho, John Cena vs. Batista are Main Event Matches because they have Main Event Superstars and they had Title Matches with more revolving around them. But Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker was THE MAIN EVENT because it had the most of all the matches at stake: The Undertaker's Now 18-0 Streak vs. Shawn Michaels Career. Can you sit there and tell me that that is not bigger than all those other matches.--Nascarking (talk) 16:20, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
I am not arguing which mach was the bigger main event, I'm just noting the fact that there are such things as co-main events. --UnquestionableTruth-- 21:06, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
But Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon compared to all the others here is mid card match. There was only ONE MAIN EVENT at WrestleMania III Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant. That was what the 93,000 fans at the Pontiac Silverdome and the Millions watching at home paid to see. Can you agree with me on that?--Nascarking (talk) 17:08, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Sure why not.--UnquestionableTruth-- 00:44, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Clean up the article.

Can we please clean up the article a little? This is about WrestleMania, and it's not even a Good Article at all.--Nascarking (talk) 21:30, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

What this article needs to become a Good Article

Can we list on here what this article needs fixed on here for it to become a Good Article?--Nascarking (talk) 20:57, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

According to a Peer Review, These would be a start:Add sources wherever there is a citation needed tag, Entire sections of text don't have a single inline citation, The celebrity involvement section needs to be written in WP:SUMMARY style with a link to the main article List of celebrities involved with WrestleMania, Web sources need to be formatted with Template:cite web, The history section needs some rewriting. It isn't fluid at all. It's more of "This happened this year. The next year, this happened," There's also a lot of personal opinion in the article. For example: "The match is considered to be one of the best matches in the history of the event." According to whom? These are what resulted from a Peer Review.--Nascarking (talk) 21:01, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

No mention of Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25?

Ok, this is preposterous. Wrestlemania 25 was essentially a one-match event in which the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels stole the show with one of the most stellar performances ever, and that match does not find a mention? The paragraph for Wrestlemania 25 talked about Chris Jericho defeating the legends, but not about the match which the WWE is also calling one of the greatest matches of all time, which was unanimously voted match of the year by Wrestling Observer, Pro Wrestling Illustrated and WWE Slammy awards, which all online reviews applauded (e.g., The Sun and Canadian Online Explorer's Slam Wrestling), and which made it to the first page of Houston Chronicle, thereby making history in the process because it was the first match in 22 years to make it to the front page of a newspaper (the last one was Hogan vs Andre). I have added a line about this match in Wrestlemania 25's paragraph, and if anybody has a problem with it, post your comments as to "why" this match should not be mentioned there (when matches like Jericho vs legends can be mentioned), before you delete it. Mayankeagle (talk) 10:58, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

This page is just a summary of some of the matches that have taken place at Mania over the years. A Taker/Michaels match is already listed for XXVI and already makes note of their match from XXV. --UnquestionableTruth-- 18:51, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Fix the damage the IP caused

HJ Mitchell has given the article a week under Semi Protection to fix whatever damage 211.30.38.252 caused on Saturday. I want to know if we've gotten this damage fixed and tell me he's been banned from the article?----Nascar king 20:24, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

The page was only Semi-Protected meaning only established registered editors can edit the page. The vandalism was indeed reverted.--UnquestionableTruth-- 01:41, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
