Fair use rationale for Image:Sixth-floor-museum-logo.gif

[edit]

Image:Sixth-floor-museum-logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photos?

[edit]

Photo's aren't allowed in the museum, so where do you suggest anyone find or get them? Basketball110 00:30, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photos are now allowed in the museum but only for personal use. I took a number of them when I was there recently which I have thought about adding but I didn't know if it would be a violation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JVorpe (talkcontribs) 04:05, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Biased or weazel words?

[edit]

Hi, I've just been watching a doco about the shooting and so flicked over to a few Wikipedia articles to learn more. When I got to this page I was suprised to find in the lead paragraph this phrase; 'Lee Harvey Oswald supposedly shot Kennedy.'

There is no doubt form any other source or Wikipedia article that Oswald shot Kennedy. There are conspiracy theories about a second or third shooter, but Oswald did fire some shots. Personally, I don't believe the conspiracy theories; Oswald was the killer. However that has no bearing on my comment. The phrase, 'Lee Harvey Oswald supposedly shot Kennedy', to me introduces a bias that is not warranted. It is a type of weasel words that try and shift and influence the readers perspective towards an agenda set by the editor who wrote them into this Wikipedia article. I think they should be removed. Thoughts, opinions, constructive comments anyone? Thanks, Mondegreen de plume (talk) 12:21, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oswald was killed before he could be brought to trial, so he remains the alleged killer of Kennedy. This is how the law works. These are not weasel words. It's the factual truth. --Crunch (talk) 23:44, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
