There is some disagreement over whether this person is more accurately described as English or Irish. I couldn't find any reliable sources that would clearly establish either nationality, but I am woefully ignorant in this subject area. You're not the only one. Google seem very ignorant on this subject as well. The only Gartside bios I can find are Wikipedia and Wikipedia copies. John Sloan (view / chat) 22:52, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As a Bolton fan, I know that is true (although only some Bolton fans call him that). However, here at Wikipedia we have rules against adding things like that to articles. Please have a read of WP:BLP. Cheers! John Sloan (view / chat) 22:35, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
