- They are a major electron microscope manufacturer, with subsidiaries in North America and Europe. Their instruments are used by researchers worldwide, including the University of Cambridge[1], University of Oxford [2], and MIT [3] (and also my employers). DrMikeF 09:29, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Founding year
[edit]The company info box states 1948 as the founding year, the history section says its 1949. Which is correct? --Dwi Secundus (talk) 19:06, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]How is "JEOL" pronounced? Looks like it's a foreign word (or composite/acronym of them?) but a major player in world markets that don't speak the language (or even read the non-anglo character-set). Would be useful to readers to have their official answer on this, or second-best a native-language speaker help us out. DMacks (talk) 18:20, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
