I edited the wordy parenthesis explaining the name Manx "(which appropriately shares the same name as a breed of vestigial-tailed cat)" down to "(named for the well-known breed of stub-tailed housecat)" based on the assumption that the plane was named after the ancient breed of cat. I don't have the background to verify causality. It's just possible that the tailless plane has some less obvious connection with the Isle of Man (designed, built, or tested there?) so I put a "verification needed" flag on my own words. Would a Wikipedian with better access to UK aviation historical evidence please confirm or else shoot down the assumption? - Egmonster (talk) 23:50, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
