Autobiography
[edit]This is obviously an autobiographical entry, though not as blatantly self-promotional as most. At the moment it's still on a fast-track towards deletion though. In order to help it to "stick" and not get deleted, it needs to provide references which verify the claims in the article, and confirm notability. Please see WP:BIO and Wikipedia:Verifiability. If you have any questions, let me know. --Elonka 21:03, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi, Elonka. I have read the comments from you (and others?) and am trying to bring this article up to Wikipedia standards. I am having a bit of a hard time understanding the guidelines on how to add the categories, links, further reading, and references that might make this article "stick."
The main category this would fall under is Arts: Comics: Underground Comix. This article should link to Harvey Pekar, Underground Comix, and Irbir. Further reading should show "Comic Books as History," by Joseph Witek, 1989, University Press of Mississippi. ISBN 0-87805-405-7. References should show The Comiclopedia, a directory of comic artists at http://www.lambiek.net/artists/index.htm
Anything you can do to advise me as to the proper procedure would be greatly appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.82.9.90 (talk • contribs) 17:48, September 30, 2006
- I've added in some of the information, but additional references would still be a good idea to confirm notability, per WP:BIO. The Lambiek directory isn't necessarily what would be called a "credible source", since the information looks self-written. Do you have any references in other third-party publications? Please also review WP:AUTO. --Elonka 05:46, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Elonka, thanks for the help. I've revised further and wikified. Will also add image and further references. --Brian
