- @Melcous: made the folloing edit saying "notability comes from political career"
- Read the edit that was made after the sentence: "The Sargent Brothers acquired and developed sizable holdings in San Joaquin, Santa Clara, and Monterey counties."
- Melcous removed key links to the land holdings Sargent and his brothers owned, e.g. Rancho Juristac, Rancho Potrero de San Carlos, and Rancho San Francisquito.
- The information about the ranches and the linked articles detail Bradley Varnum Sargent's land holdings, which were a significant aspect of his career as a rancher and landowner. This part of his life is crucial to understanding his story, extending beyond his political career
- Please add the following paragraph after the setence: "The Sargent Brothers acquired and developed sizable holdings in San Joaquin, Santa Clara, and Monterey counties."
- "In 1856 the Sargent brothers purchased 4,540 acres (1,840 ha) of the Mexican land grant Rancho Juristac in southern Santa Clara County, California, south of present-day Gilroy, known as the Sargent Ranch. In 1857-1858, they acquired 23,000 acres (9,300 ha) of Rancho Potrero de San Carlos and Rancho San Francisquito in Carmel Valley. Sargent oversaw the administration of both the Potrero de San Carlos and San Francisquito ranches, while his brothers assumed responsibility for managing additional properties."
