On 3 January 2024, it was proposed that this article be moved from Black Hills Gold Rush to Black Hills gold rush. The result of the discussion was moved.

The Native Americans in the Black Hills did not "own" the Black Hills. Their concept of ownership was much different than settlers. See: https://www.nps.gov/home/learn/historyculture/native-americans-and-the-homestead-act.htm 68.69.80.70 (talk) 22:56, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
