Hauteluce (French pronunciation: [otlys]; Arpitan: Hôtaluce) is an alpine commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. It is located in Beaufortain, on the departmental border with Haute-Savoie. In 2019, Hauteluce had a population of 758.

[edit]Hauteluce has a humid continental climate (Köppen climate classification Dfb). The average annual temperature in Hauteluce is 6.9 °C (44.4 °F). The average annual rainfall is 1,688.1 mm (66.46 in) with December as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in July, at around 16.0 °C (60.8 °F), and lowest in January, at around −2.0 °C (28.4 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded in Hauteluce was 37.4 °C (99.3 °F) on 26 June 2019; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −24.0 °C (−11.2 °F) on 9 January 1985.
