The 2024 United States Senate election in Vermont will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the state of Vermont. Primary elections took place on August 13, 2024.[1] Incumbent three-term Senator Bernie Sanders, an Independent who caucuses with the Democratic Party, was re-elected with 67% of the vote in 2018. He is running for re-election.

Sanders filed paperwork to run for re-election in 2019. On January 8, 2024, he stated he would decide whether or not to seek re-election in the "near future."[2] On May 6, Sanders formally announced that he will run for re-election.[3]

No Democrat has ever won this Class 1 Senate seat, though Sanders has caucused with Democrats since taking office in 2007.
