- Sunderlal Bahuguna (9 Januari 1927 – 21 Mei 2021) adalah seorang enviromentalis, pemimpin dan pengikut filsafat dan Satyagraha buatan Mahatma Gandhi berdarah . Gagasan gerakan Chipko berasal dari istrinya dan tidanakan diambil olehnya. Selama bertahun-tahun, ia berjuang untuk preservasi hutan di Himalaya, mula-mula sebagai anggota pada 1970an, dan kemudian mengepalai gerakan Anti- dari 1980an, sampai awal 2004. He fought for the preservation of forests in the Himalayas, first as a member of the Chipko movement in the 1970s, and later spearheaded the anti-Tehri Dam movement from the 1980s to early 2004. He was one of the early environmentalists of India, and later he and others associated with the Chipko movement and started taking up wider environmental issues, such as being opposed to large dams.
