- رتق الشرج أو الشرج المنتبذ أو المسدود هو عيب خلقي يتميز بغياب فتحة الشرج في نهاية القناة الهضمية للمولود، وله عدة أشكال:
* أن ينتهي المستقيم بنقطة عمياء في مستوى منخفض قريب من موضع فتحة الشرج الطبيعي، أو في مستوى أعلى في البطن.
* أن يكون المستقيم متصلاً بالجلد الذي يغطي جدار البطن الأمامي عن طريق ناسور.

- Die Analatresie oder lateinisch Atresia ani, allgemeiner anorektale Fehlbildung, ist eine angeborene Fehlbildung des Enddarms. Es fehlt dabei der Anus zum Ausscheiden des Darminhalts. Die Rektalatresie bezeichnet zusätzlich das Fehlen des unteren Teiles des Mastdarms. Analatresien entstehen dadurch, dass der Durchbruch der Aftergrube in den Enddarm, der in der Regel bei Embryonen von 3,5 cm Länge erfolgt, ausbleibt. Die Fehlbildung manifestiert sich bei jedem 3000. bis 5000. Neugeborenen oder bei 0,2–0,33 ‰. Das sind in Deutschland zwischen 130 und 250 Kinder jährlich. - Malformacje odbytu i odbytnicy (ang. anorectal malformations) – wady wrodzone dystalnego (dalszego) odcinka przewodu pokarmowego: odbytu i odbytnicy, a także układu moczowo-płciowego u obu płci. - Anusatresie of congenitale anorectale malformatie (CARM) is een congenitale aandoening waarbij de anus ontbreekt of sterk afwijkend gevormd is.In Nederland worden jaarlijks ongeveer veertig baby's geboren met de afwijking anusatresie.Soms is er wel iets van een uitgang te zien maar op een afwijkende plaats en/of zeer nauw. Het kan in elk geval niet normaal functioneren. Vaak heeft een kind met anusatresie meer afwijkingen zoals aan de nieren, de urinewegen, de geslachtsorganen en het spijsverteringskanaal. Omdat niemand zonder anus kan leven zal er altijd chirurgisch moeten worden ingegrepen om te trachten een min of meer normale anale uitgang te maken.
