- Grafický editor je program, kterým vytváříme nebo můžeme vytvořit grafické znázornění. Grafické editory jsou používány jak k návrhům tiskovým tak i grafik v digitální podobě. Každý editor má své prostředí, které obsahuje různé nástroje. Nástroje se liší podle toho na co je daný editor zaměřen (simulace skutečného malování štětcem, bitmapová grafika, vektorová grafika, prostředí pro tvorbu plakátů ap..). Hlavní rozdělení je známé hlavně na 2D a 3D. U 2D jsou pak dělena na vektory (grafická informace je zde uložena ve formě matematického zápisu tvaru čáry nebo křivky, které jsou základním elementem každého obrázku) a bitmapy (grafika je definována barvou jednotlivých bodů neboli přesně tak, jak je definovaná třeba i fotografie nebo televizní obraz). - Editor gráfico, editor de foto ou editor de imagens é um programa de computador que tem como objetivo facilitar a alteração e criação de imagens digitais. Permite aplicar efeitos, fazer ajustes e correção nas imagens. Existem três tipos de editores para cada necessidade. São eles:
* Raster — programas que geram pinturas digitais, ilustrações, editam ou retocam fotografias. Dentre os mais populares estão: GIMP, Adobe Photoshop, Corel PhotoPaint, PhotoScape, Pixia, paint.net, ArtRage;
* Vetoriais — programas que criam ilustrações por meio de cálculos matemáticos (vetores) e que podem ser livremente modificados, tendo como base objetos e curvas, a estes podem ser aplicadas cores de contorno e preenchimento de acordo com o programa. En bildbehandlare innehåller olika funktioner för att på olika sätt ändra bildens utseende, till exempel att ta bort röda ögon eller på bilden att se äldre ut. Kända bildbehandlare är Gimp, Paint och Photoshop. Det finns olika typer av bildbehandlare som jobbar med olika typer av grafik. Rastergrafik är bilder som byggs upp av små prikar s.k. pixlar i olika färger. Vektorgrafik baserar sig inte på prickar utan andra geometriska former så som linjer, rektanglar och ellipser. Andra bildbehanlare har inga verktyg för att rita på bilderna utan tillåter bara modifiering som till exempel att ta bort röda ögon, ändra bildens storlek eller konvertera om bilden till ett annat filformat.
